The opioid epidemic is impacting communities all over the United States. The naloxone kits are an unfortunate necessity to try and save lives. Education can only help and there is a program to help called virtual overdose monitoring services (VOMS). The services VOMS offer are available on smartphones or phone hotlines and when activated can either emergency services or an emergency care plan can be initiated if the user becomes unresponsive. The goal is to activate emergency services as quickly as possible to save lives
