From a financial and operational health perspective, The Purpose operates on a thin margin. The majority of funding comes from government contracts, foundations, and individual donors. Program fees from participants make up a small percentage of revenue and are offered on a sliding scale. The Purpose struggles with high staff turnover and challenges retaining qualified personnel due to constraints in compensation. Overall, the organization fulfills its commitments to serve youth but has limited ability to scale or improve programs without additional resources.
