The parties to the conflict must have all times distinguished between civilians and combatants. Attacks may only be directed against combatants. Attacks must not be directed against civilian. please help me out to explain this above statement with regard to international armed conflict and non- international armed conflicts by quoting relevant provisions from Geneva's Conventions and their additional protocols.
