The "Pharmacy Mini Clinic" Course Project will consist of seven stages. It is important to note that a stage will be due each week, with the exception of Week 8, so that your Instructor can monitor your progress and provide you with the support you need. Each subsequent stage of work will build upon the prior weeks work and each stage is to be completed individually. The seven stages are as follows:
- Stage 1: Data Analysis
- Stage 2: Entity Relationships
- Stage 3: Database Development (Step 1)
- Stage 4: Database Development (Step 2)
- Stage 5: Database Queries
- Stage 6: Generating Reports
- Stage 7: User Interface
Stage 3Database Development (Step 1) Note: Before you begin this stage, review the "Pharmacy Mini Clinic" Course Project Rubric.
This week, you will continue your Course Project by completing Stage 3. This stage will be a component in your "Pharmacy Mini Clinic" Course Project and will be due on Day 5.
To prepare for this stage of the Course Project, view the video tutorial included in this weeks Learning Resources and the Stage 3 Database Example below (which is the example database created in the video tutorial), both of which can be used as references.
Stage 3 Database Example To complete this stage of the Course Project, create three tables in a Microsoft Office program (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) to mirror the tables created in Week 1. Please complete the following items:
- Create onetable for each of the three previously defined entities.
- Populate each table with sample data. In other words, create all three tables with their entities, attributes, and with the primary keys identified in Week 2. Use the specifications provided below when you add data to the tables. Include:
- At least 5 patients
- At least 3 insurance companies
Add data to your table. Be sure to designate the primary keys before you can add data. Refer to Microsoft Suite tutorials for instructions on how to create and populate the tables
