The preceding experiment was repeated using the same subjects for both conditions. On Monday half the subjects drank the plain juice and performed a short-term memory test, and the other half drank the juice with the alcohol and then performed the memory test. On the following day, the procedure was repeated according to counterbalancing requirements. The mean performances were computed.
