The President of Lincoln Hospital believes that the Don and Mary can resolve their conflicts and come down to an agreement to work better as a team. As part of the resolution, a third-party consultant is asked to come in to intervene and help the two put their tensions/conflicts aside, so that the two can work more effectively regardless of their differences. Instead, he told both Mary and Don that they must resolve their differences. They were to begin meeting right away and keep on meeting, however long it took, until they got the OR straightened out 4 LINCOLN HOSPITAL: THIRD PARTY INTERVENTION Being that neither wanted to lose their employment, they went through with meeting with the third-party consultant. During their session, they began to discuss the issues as a way of initiating their consultation and to provide background to the third-party consultant who was handling this matter. In their session, Don expresses the following about Mary: I don't want to have anything to do with this lady. She is a lousy manager. Her people can't stand to work with her. We don't have the equipment or the supplies that we need. The turnover in the OR is outrageous. The best nurses have quit, and their replacements don't know enough to come in out of the rain
