The Prisoner's Dilemma Game

In this project you will play a slightly different Dilemma Game in an educational simulation/game - after you play the game several times, it will illustrate different strategies and how those strategies fare against one another. The simulation is called Evolution of Trust because there is a way to maximize outcomes in the all Dilemma Games if Trust Evolves. Also, this game is a little different because it is about gaining rewards (coins) as opposed to avoiding punishments (years in prison). Keep in mind that in the original Prisoner's Dilemma game the goal was to avoid prison time, but here the goal is to get as many coins as possible.

Write up a short summary of your experiences, use concepts from the textbook. Think about how one is able to "win" or do well during the game - think about (and explain) different types of winning - specifically "winning" by getting more points than the opponent and "winning" by getting more points than under other strategies (i.e., look only at the number of points you earned yourself, while ignoring how many the other person received). Comment on the connections between your actions and outcomes.
