THE PROBLEM

THE CURRENT SITUATION

The same information is entered many times, e.g company title and address. This is a time consuming event, and nobody can be sure about the accuracy of the entered information. An abbreviated version of the Excel file

In your conversations with the accounting staff, you obtain the following information:

• After orders are taken, ordered items are combined and picked up byFedEx and UPS to deliver to the customers in different states.
• The shipping costs are based on the catalog weight of the product.
• Shipping fees are collected by the wholesaler and paid to the shipping company periodically. The owner explains the difficulty she faces in determining these payments.
• The shippingfees are $0.19 and $0.23 per poundfor FedEx and UPS respectively.

Your Recommendation and your task: The Excel based approach should be replaced with a DBMS (MS Access) based solution.
