The problem You have been working in your current position as the Director of Nutrition Services at The Body Medical Center for about 1.5 years. The Body Medical Center services many residents with the area with 400 bed capacity Level 1 Trauma Center. You have had the opportunity to get to know your staff, understand the strengths, limitations, and needs of the departments. You currently have 3 departments you oversee totaling about 150 employees most of which are unionized: Clinical Nutrition, Food Operations \& Patient Feeding, Education \& Research. You oversee all of the hiring within the department with assistance of the Chiefs (all Chiefs have been in current position 250k which includes employer paid benefits. Assumptions: - all positions are full time 40hrs/week - all hourly positions are apart of the union 1. Provide the Chiefs with next steps as it relates to HR recruiting, interviewing, hiring, on-boarding/training, disciplinary actions and performance appraisal. Explain how both you and the Chief will be involved in each step. You should provide specific examples for more clarity (ie. interview questions and setting, training outline, sample performance appraisal based on one of the provided job descriptions from previous assignment. 2. The company currently does not have a formal or standardized employee selection process. Hiring rely on highly subjective interviews and "gut feelings" to make quick hiring decisions. You are tasked to implement a system tic and selection process to ensure that the best people are hired. Outline your new process from start to end. 3.
