The Procurement Director has asked you to assist the building contractor to manage the process of tendering from local landscape companies for the external landscaping requirements of the cafes. The schedule of store redevelopment and space requiring landscaping will be as follows:

1. Hobart - 8 square meters

2. Launceston - 18 square meters

3. Adelaide - 12 square meters

4. Collins Street Melbourne - no external landscaping required

5. Geelong - 13 square meters

6. Ballarat - 15 square meters

7. Sydney city - no external landscaping required

8. Parramatta - 7 square meters

9. Canberra - 10 square meters

10. Byron Bay - 21 square meters

This will include the preparation of garden surfaces including removal of existing concrete, planting in a tropical theme, weed matting and bark chipping. Plants are not to exceed 2 metres in height and should be low maintenance. You are required to obtain information from suitable suppliers.

Draft an email to each of your two suitable selected potential suppliers attaching the request for proposal, selection processes and criteria for procurement and request their response.

7. You have received responses from three suppliers (see Appendix 1). A Word document titled: Supplier Selection and outline the actions you must now take to establish the preferred suppliers for the project.

8. Using the Supplier Selection document which you have created, draft an email to the project team and attach. Notify the team of the following information:

a. An overview of the two suppliers you have selected

b. Outline why they have met the requirements for the project

c. Seek confirmation from the project team that the suppliers are suitable

d. Confirming that the supplier procurement will proceed according to the John Readings (or your organisation) procedures.
