Depreciation of machinery value ,14,000
The following information is also available:
Production Groups
The product "LYT" has a raw material cost of 300 and is sold at a mark-up of 35% and requires
production in each process / group as follows:
A -5 hours
B ,-4 hours
C -6 hours
D -3 hours
Direct Labour is paid within each production group as follows:
A -lon20 per hour
B -lon12 per hour
C ,-15 per hour
D -lon17 per hour
You are required to:
(a) Calculate a machine hour overhead absorption rate for each production group.
(b) Calculate the overhead that will be absorbed by one unit of "LYT".
(c) Calculate the selling price of the product "LYT".
