The production per hour, output per unit time, and the number of operations per hour are all examples of labor standards (David & Davis, 2020). Employees will experience both good and negative consequences if these requirements are tightened. Tightening labor rules would make some employees feel as if they were being discriminated against, overworked leading to resentment between management and staff. Kate may reduce the bad behaviors that workers may exhibit because of the tightening of work standards in a variety of ways. Which some can include reinforcing consequences once the new labor standards have been implemented. Kate should include additional regulations for the organization's management. Employees should be advised of the repercussions of failing to perform their duties competently. Creating a code of conduct would provide workers with an outline of the types of behavior that the business expects of them. This would help to include the kind of behaviors that the company will not tolerate.

Teamwork is one of the essential factors that contribute to a company's success. When a lot is on the line and employees have a lot on their plates, they must work together as a team to finish tasks on time. There should also have been a representation from the general workforce. The management's duty would have been to guarantee that the standards established were compliant with government legislation. This would go a long way towards guaranteeing that the company never broke the law. The employee representative would have been critical in ensuring that the requirements do not place undue stress on the staff.
