The project deals with the design of the lowest cost structural model of a building located in Flagstaff, AZ. The building covers 100 ft x 35 ft and is likely to be used as a community center or a restaurant. Eaves are located 20 ft off the ground. One possibility is to have the roof trusses supported as shown in Fig. 1 where the roof trusses are parallel to AB and CD. The other option is to have the trusses parallel to AC and BD. Non-load bearing walls cover all four sides of the building
