The purpose of our final project is to synthesize the biostatistics, data management, and research approaches used in two studies on very similar topics that came to very different conclusions. Both of these studies have been used selectively to prove that the intervention either works really well or doesn$$t work at all. Read the studies and reflect on the following questions

Are the studies asking the same research question? If not, how did they differ? Please identify and compare the null and alternative hypotheses for each study.

Did the studies use the same $($a$)$ methodologies, $($b$)$ data sources, and $($c$)$ data analyses? If not, how did they differ?

What are the strengths and limitations of the study? Specifically:

$($a$)$ What pieces of new knowledge do the research studies identify?

$($b$)$ What limitations to the studies have related to the study designs$/$data$/$analyses used?

Bottom line: How could two papers on such similar$-$sounding topics have such different$-$sounding conclusions?
