The purpose of this assignment is to allow students an opportunity to critically think about, plan and implement all ofthe elements required for an effective meeting. There will be two parts to this paper. The first portion will be a narrative that will outline and reflect on how to run an effective meeting in their own setting, using evidence and resources to support their answer. As students form their narrative, they are encouraged to think about "How will this meeting impact my workplace? How long will the meeting take? What is the purpose of this meeting? How can I keep it on task? What do I hope to accomplish through this meeting?" The second part of this project is highly practical and entails forming a mock agenda for the student's professional setting. The example the student creates will receive critical feedback for improvement and can be implemented in their current or future workplace immediately, along with the skills learned from the materials in the module.
