For this assignment you will research, collect resources, and develop a training on a topic for a staff training meeting. Your assignment will include:
- Training Title:
- Description: provide a brief narrative summary or overview of the training.
- Target Audience- Describe the specific participants for whom the training is intended. For Example: The kitchen staff, the teacher assistants, the lead teachers, all staff, etc.
- Colorado's Competencies for Early Childhood Educators and Administrators section addressed; see theColorado's Competencies for Early Childhood Educators and Administrators document.
- Include the Core Competency Domain, Category(ies), and Level(s) the training is designed to address. For Example: Domain: Family and Community Partnership, Category: Valuing Families, Level: 3. (FCP 1.3, 2.3, 3.3)
- Learning Objectives: - Provide three specific, measurable objectives of the training that reflect what participants will be expected to know and/or be able to do as a result of the training. Objectives must be measurable. Participants should be informed of the objectives at the beginning of the training.
- Training Length and Number of Sessions - For Example: Three evenings of three hours each, one, three hour session, etc.; at a minimum you will have a training for one, 1.5 hour session.
- A Detailed Agenda of the Meeting/Session - in chronological order, the amount of time designated for each part of the training content.
- Content: Include an outline of the body of the training. Include enough detail such that anyone could implement this training.
- Method of Delivery: Include a description of the presentation method, such as small group activities, question and answer, PowerPoint presentation, guided reading or lecture. Your method must address at least two different learning styles.
- Materials and Handouts: Include the types of materials that are needed to present the training (e.g., internet connection, overhead projector, index cards, etc.). Develop a presentation or handout that you will use during the training. Include copies of your PowerPoint, handouts, or materials used to present the topic.
- Evaluation Plan: Describe the process that will be used to assess knowledge and/or skills participants will be able to demonstrate following the completion of the training. The evaluation plan must measure or document knowledge gained with respect to the training's learning objectives. If applicable, also include a copy of the test, form, or other evaluation document that will be used.
- A Bibliography: (use APA) of sources used to develop the topic and/or used during the training. A minimum of two sources must be used; these sources must be less than 5 years old.
