He sold his business to one of his employees, Amanda Cross, who did not change the business signs, advertising brochures, stationery or letterhead. Amanda decided to upgrade her equipment and ordered sound equipment to the value of $40 000 from Trio Sound. Trio Sound had been a regular supplier to 21st Century Music for a number of years and was not aware of the change of ownership. Worst of all, the chief law clerk fraudulently transferred the residential property into his own name, sold it and disappeared.
