1. The Civil Rights Act, Age Discrimination Act, and The Americans with Disabilities Act are some major provisions of The Equal Pay Act. I believe that discrimination based on one's sex is one of the most important provisions because more and more women are working jobs that were once jobs that were only being taken by men and are not being fairly compensated for the type of duties that they perform, the skill that they have, their knowledge of the job, or for their worth in general. 2. The Equal Pay Act in its entirety is extremely important. It prevents the gap in pay between groups (gender, race, etc) within a single workplace. It is important because there needs to be equality in the workplace, especially when it comes to compensation for a similar amount of work. Sadly, there is definitely still discrimination in compensation throughout the country. It was slightly curbed by the passing of The Equal Pay Act, but it has not been cut out entirely. There is still a gap between men and women, even if it is compensation for the exact same position, consisting of the exact same amount of work.
