Prompt 2 1. Focusing on one area but neglecting to look at other parts of the organization 2. Unrealistic goals could be set. For example, according to Sean Silverthrone's article "When Goal setting Goes Bad" Ford tried to make the Pinto under 2,000 pounder and under $2,000. Employees overlooked some design flaws and safety measures, and fifty- three people died as a result. Prompt 3 Steps an organization can do to increase motivational force is, incentives for employees to do good work in turn for rewards. If an employee comes to work on time or early and gets their work done on time with little problems, the employee can get a promotion or increased pay. Prompt 5 The benefits to of the new approaches to reward systems, is that employees are encouraged to harder and put more effort in. The drawbacks is that some of the rewards or how to get them can be unrealistic. I feel an reward system that rewards employees with increased pay, vacation, or promotion if the employee does their job or go above and beyond. 179 words Permalink Show parent Reply
