According to this technique, a fixed factor leads to strain on the other factors for a project to be completed successfully. In the scenario, time is the fixed factor hence it's possible to crash the project. For the project to be a success, both the project cost and quality will be strained. The project cost/resources will be increased and the quality will decrease. So as not to interfere with the project quality, the cost/resources will be increased exponentially.
