The scope of a project is affected by three forces or rather factors, namely: time, quality, and cost. In this scenario, the project deadline (time) cannot be met even after compressing the schedule. In such a situation, the "scope Triangle" technique can be applied. This technique entails a graphical representation of the three main elements of the project scope. According to this technique, a fixed factor leads to strain on the other factors for a project to be completed successfully. In the scenario, time is the fixed factor hence it's possible to crash the project. For the project to be a success, both the project cost and quality will be strained. The project cost/resources will be increased and the quality will decrease. So as not to interfere with the project quality, the cost/resources will be increased exponentially.
