The Scorpion King loaned money to the Mummy and his wife, Anck-su-namun. Unfortunately, the Mummy became ill and died before he repaid the loan. After three months, the Scorpion King informed Anck-su-namun that the Mummy never paid him back on the loan. Upon hearing this, Anck-su-namun promised to pay the debt. After another month passed, the Scorpion King called Anck-su-namun for the $1,000 payment to no avail. Thereafter, the Scorpion King sued Anck-su-namun for the money, claiming that she promised to pay the debt of $1,000. 

Discuss if the Scorpion King is entitled to the money. Discuss if Anck-su-namum has any defense to the suit.
