In 2019, the SCTCL has made remarkable progress in the tourism sector even if the number of tourists arriving in Mauritius decreased by 1.1% but reached an earning towering the Rs 63.1 billion. The performance of Solana Beach Mauritius witnessed an improvement where its revenue per room increased by 3% in 2019. The profit figures of the company was up to 13.2% to reach Rs 26m in 2019 from Rs 13m in 2018. The Preskil Island Resort after a year of renovation repositioned to a 4-star status and registered an occupancy of 78.4% and an achieved revenue of Rs 300m.
