The stages in the Time Study part of the project will be as follows:

Separating a job into its elements

Determining observation times with a stopwatch using standard time study forms $($using the retroactive or continuous method appropriate to the job$)$

Taking observation values for at least $20$ cycles initially

Calculating how many observations you need to have to be able to say with $95\%$ confidence that the average times we obtained for each work element after a $20-$cycle pilot study are within $\backslash$pm $5\%$ deviation from their actual values.

Determining how many more cycles of observations we need to take at the desired deviation and confidence level, and if the number of observations is insufficient, $20$ more observations are taken and the test is repeated. $($If the number of observations is still insufficient, there is no need to take additional observations$)$

Determination of the operator's tempo $($Westinghouse system, a method of tempo estimation by synthetic or objective measurement, with a description of this method$)$
