The stirring process is required for mixing concentrated liquids with a viscosity of 8000 cp. The geometry of the stirring system is expressed by the stirrer diameter (Da), the tank diameter (Dt), stirrer thickness (W), height of liquid in tank H and distance between bottom of stirrer and bottom of tank (C). Ratio the comparison between the geometric parameters is given as following:

Da/Dt = 0.9; W/Dt = 0.1; H/Dt = 1; and C/Dt = 0.05. The results for the stirrer system with the configuration of the parameters above are given in the form of a correlation of the Np power number and the Reynolds number of NRe stirring as follows: Np = 217 NRe-0.95. This correlation is only valid for NRe numbers < 100. The density of this liquid is 1100 kg/m3. The mass of the liquid to be stirred is 300 kg. Use the same stirring system as the results of the study above. Determine the dimensions of the above agitating system and the amount of power the stirrer must exert at a stirring speed of 150 rpm.
