Before you begin, review the example above and make sure you know how to predict the acceleration of the system for masses M1 and M2. The description on the previous page explains the derivation of the motion. Derive that expression here. Use M1 = 70 g and M2 = 50 g and determine the acceleration of the system in m/s. NOTE: the larger of these masses is M1 as opposed to M2 in the example above, so the system will move in the other direction
