The system flowchart has 2 processes

1. Credit Card Processor(Acquiring Bank validates)

2. Payment received on cardholder's account

These each need a process specification explaining how they take in the input data and produce the output data.

The flowchart has three effective files

1. Transaction Files (Issuing Bank approves or declines)

2. Merchant batch of credit card sales

3. Cardholder receives statement ten pays credit card bill

Each of these needs a File Description that specifies the data attributes Name, type and size. Also the names of the files need to be changed. The current names sound like processes not files. Files should be nouns.

For the process specification you are looking to name the process and then tell how that process turns the input data into output. Think about how a program works to do so.

You do not want to explain how the entire system is working. Break the entire system down into specific processes. You have two in the flow chart.

As I said before there are 3 files with data, you need to specify what that data is for each in the File Specifications. We are not looking for an example, but the specific files for this flow chart.
