The topic of my introduction and literature review is First Impression. This topic is about how participants will form more negative impressions of minority group members (Betas) compared to majority group members (Alphas) due to the combination of their minority status and the rare occurrence of negative attributes associated with them.My hypothesis of this topic is that the experiment aims to test the hypothesis that illusory correlations contribute to stereotype formation based on the interplay of minority/majority group status and positive/negative attributes. Specifically, the hypothesis posits that participants will form more negative impressions of minority group members (Betas) compared to majority group members (Alphas) due to the combination of their minority status and the rare occurrence of negative attributes associated with them.
Form a Method section for the experiment : First Impression. It should contain three parts:
- Participants,
- Materials, and
- Design and Procedure.
(Note: The participant's section should contain basic demographic information: total number, mean and SD for age, number of each gender, etc.) PLEASE INCLUDE REFERENCE FOR FURTHER RESEARCH!!
