The intent of the assignment is to help us better understand why conducting a training needs analysis is important to organizational leadership and effective training.

(a) Provide a brief description of an organization/unit where a needs analysis is/was necessary. Describe a problem(s) you are or were aware of that needed to be examined further? In other words, what is a problem/frustration you have seen at work, on a team, or in a volunteer capacity? Why was this a problem or frustration in need of further examination?

(b) Describe, in your own words, at least four training needs analysis methods by addressing what the training needs analysis method is, how it used, and what specifically can be learned from each? In other words, how does each training needs analysis method you discuss allow trainers to successfully diagnose training and non-training needs?

(c) Describe in detail two needs analysis methods you would use to conduct your own training needs analysis for your identified organizational problem(s). How specifically would you use the method? In other words, based on the problem/challenge you selected in item (a), what are two training needs analysis methods you would use to help you better understand the problem and identify a solution(s) forward?

(d) Describe challenges you may encounter when using the two described training needs analysis methods to diagnose training and non-training needs

(e) Describe why organizations rarely conduct a training needs analysis and highlight at least two takeaways you had from the training needs analysis lectures/content/this assignment
