The TTCI uses various factors to measure competitiveness. These are more generally categorized into 4 pillars:

	A.	PEST - political, economic, social and technological
	B.	Tourism infrastructure: Hotels, Attractions, Parks and Airports
	C.	Governmental support and economic investments: Tourism Ministry, Tourism Policies, Tourism Investments, and Tourism GDP
	D.	Tourism Policy, tourism infrastructure, resources at the destination, and the environment at the destination enabling and supporting the travel and tourism industry
