The United States has some of the most well developed capital markets in the world.However in the past 30 years the government has taken numerous steps to protect investors from stock scams and promoters.Part of the consequences of these steps has been to make it increasingly difficult for entrepreneurs and early stage ventures to raise capital. Our recovery from the most recent recession is one of the slowest economic recoveries in history.Historically most new jobs in a recovery are created by small business ventures.Do you agree or disagree that the government's actions in terms of restricting capital formation have hurt the economic recovery from the most recent recession?Explain your answer.
