The U.S. Department of Energy's Fuel Economy Guide provides fuel efficiency data for cars and trucks (www.fueleconomy.gov). The file FuelEconomy2019 provides a portion of the data for 387 vehicles from the 2019 model year. The column labeled Class identifies the category of the vehicle (Two Seaters, Minicompact Cars, etc.). The column labeled Combined MPG shows the fuel efficiency rating based on 55% city driving and 45% highway driving in terms of miles per gallon. Use =.05 and test for any significant difference in the mean fuel efficiency rating for highway driving among the 10 different classes of cars. Use Standard SUV 4WD as the base class and creating dummy variables for the other vehicle classes.
