After a long process, they have selected two suppliers that have proven solutions to match what the airport authority requires. TVR Systems Inc. has been providing their solution to airports around the world but runs on dated hardware with very high maintenance costs. Alpha Corporation uses new hardware and advanced software with lower cost-in-use fees but doesn't have as many clients as TVR Systems Inc. The key account manager for TVR Systems has been calling on the Vancouver Airport Authority for 6 months and has built a relationship with some of the authority's staff.
