Documentation and group meetings have become standard practice when any disciplinary or cautionary discussions take place, to ensure no accusations of impropriety are levied. This is both a positive and a negative. On the positive side, it roots out individuals that are a detriment to organizations. On the negative side, the ability to have informal meetings and coaching has been limited, for fear of allegations. The ability of a leader to encourage or constructively criticize an employee without formal proceedings makes it difficult to build relationships in some areas
