The world of online learning is another growth industry today—one that affects technical communication both directly and indirectly. Technical communicators are often, at their cores, instructors—whether you provide online training for employees on a new technology,  online course to teach safety guidelines in the workplace, or design instructional materials like FAQs and user guides. Technical communicators should be aware of trends in the latest online learning instructional tools, and their instructional and design choices should be informed by those trends.
