Imagine the following scenario: a drone hovers around a company's property and lands unnoticed in a concealed spot. It is fitted with an unsecured wi-fi hotspot that can accidentally be used by employees, allowing for the unwitting disclosure of sensitive data for days on end. The drone operator uses the information to launch a competing product line which causes the company to suffer great financial loss.

Conduct online research to assist you in explaining the following:

• Has a trespass has occurred? What if the drone hadn't landed, but had continuously hovered - trespass?
• If the company had detected the drone and had one of its security guards shoot it out of the air (assume the security guard carried his firearm legally) causing total destruction of the drone, would the owner of the drone have a cause of action against the company for destruction of property?
• How would intellectual property laws apply to this scenario?
