Some examples of the controllable economic factors would be price if the ticket and perceived value of the sport product. (Shank and Lyberger, 2022). A great example of this is Americas most popular sport, the NFL. Bleacher Report came out with an article in regard to recent ticket prices going up all while attendance is going down saying, "In fact, while the value of everything in America is plummeting, the value of NFL franchises are holding strong. Declining only 2% this year and still holding immense value over franchises in any other American professional sport" (Schottey, 2010). It is interesting to see teams raise their ticket prices in any sport, but the NFL teams seem to understand that they have a market and that it is not all about filling a stadium
