The reporter then asks person 2 "what letter do you have on your back?" Person 3 hears person 2's answers. The reporter then asks person 3 "what letter do you have on your back?"

Remember that a person answers "R" or "G" only if he is certain of his answer. Otherwise, he answers "I don't know."
