There could be two outcomes to the world having never invented ERP software, The first would be that organizations would not be as organized or be able to monitor their processes as well. The world would probably be simpler but at the same time companies would not be able to trade and sell to the same compacity with ERP software in place, companies would have a harder time trading further distances and at higher costs. Not only will they suffer with monitoring but the processes would not as efficient as they are now as ERP software helps standardize things. The second outcome would be that some alternative would be in place whether that would be a more or less efficient one is unknown. As was talked about in an earlier discussion humans will keep innovating until they can't and in order to do so we will need a way to monitor the processes as efficiently or close to as efficiently as ERP software does in order to more easily trade and innovate across the world
