There have been arguments against corporate social responsibility (CSR) as well. Those who hold this opinion argue the following:

a) The management of a firm has only one responsibility, to maximize the profits of its stakeholders and that the government and legislation should resolve social issues. b) Managers do not have the expertise to handle social issues; they are equipped only to handle finance and operations. c) Social responsibility is not the business's primary objective. CSR takes focus away from the company's objectives.
