There is a lot of discussion among politicians about raising the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $10 an hour or even $15 an hour. Considering all angles and consequences, is this a good idea? Some things to consider:
• The minimum wage workers, themselves
• The workers now making more than the minimum wage, for example, those with skills & experience
• The business owners
• The economy, for example, would increasing min wage create jobs or eliminate jobs and the impact on prices and inflation?
• Entrepreneurs considering the launch of a new business or expansion of an existing business
• The impact in cities/states that have already taken this action
