The goal is not only to conform to the standards set by the company but also to ensure there is strict compliance to both FDA and FTC. Having learned what it takes to be a quality control overseer, my task is to ensure that the recommended candy packages are filled with strict alignment with the FDA and FTC regulations. As such, my research identifies 0.5625 oz as the acceptable weight tolerance that candy packages must adhere to (NIST, 2020). Consequently, the LSL will be 11.4375oz, while USL will be 12.5625oz.
My recommendation regarding the quality control process is a control chart. Acontrol chartis a graph used to study how a process changes over time. Data will be plotted in time order. Acontrol chartalways has a central line for the average, an upper line for the uppercontrollimit, and a lower line for the lowercontrollimit. By opting for a control chart, the company will monitor the average of samples over time. Besides giving individual measurements, a control chart is a suitable process because it helps a quality control manager to notice the potentiality of something going wrong. Thus, it notifies the manager on whether it is necessary to take action or not. It is significant for the process to be open for adjustments rather than static to its standards. From now, the presence of problem indicators in a control chart quality control process will welcome approval from government regulators.

Allowing operators to spot and correct issues, rework, and additional expenditures on products are reduced significantly. Hence, my technique will reject the wastes by issuing warnings each time out-of-limit packages appear.
