There must be a Group Committee to run the group under the legislation. They have a governa role for the group. A number of the young people who are participating in the group have disabilities however are moderate to high functioning. Some have very complex family situations and see the group acti as place for them to be themselves. The group has recently had two members join who have specific food and food preparation net This is new for the group and it is uncertain how this will affect activities and practices. The groI must maximise inclusion and participation and avoid any discrimination. The group is self-funded. Therefore must raise money to keep their premises in order and safe, purchase equipment and resources and cover bills and membership fees.
