The,sales department of Blke Engincering has estimated that demand (in hundreds) for its Bikes over the next four months is 5, 9, 10, and 7. Because Bike sales are subject to demand fluctuations, the company has difficulty meeting customer orders during peak periods Number of full time employe=4 Full time employee: hourly pay rate= 7$ Full time employee : Overtime pay rate= 12 $ Maximum over time hours per week= 5 Monthly pay for temporary worker= 770$ production hours for 100 bikes= 100 raw material cost for 100 bikes= 150$ current stock (in '00s)= 3 Holding Cost per month(per 100)= 15$ To overcome labour shortages, Bike Engineering employs temporary workers monthly at the cost of 770 per person, There are four working weeks every month. The company's four full-time employees work a 35-hour week at a pay rate of 7 per hour, Every full-time employee has the option of working up to five hours of overtime each week at a rate of 12 per hour. Bike Engineering currently has 300 Bikes in stock which incur holding costs of 15 per month for every hundred Bikes, To make one Bike requires one hour of labour and 1.50 of raw materials, The company is faced with the problems of estimating the number of temporary workers to employ and keeping production costs to a minimum. Formulate the linear programming model in your answer Sheet to find an optimal production schedule that can help reduce labour shortages and production cost. Define decision variables, objective function, and constraints for the above problem. Develop a spreadsheet model and solve the formulated model using an Evest solver
