I had a professor who advocated that every industry is an oligopoly when looked at closely. I pretty much agree with him when geography and the industry definitionare looked at closely. Fluid milk probably only has a few producers in any one geographic area.Just go to the grocery stores and see how many options you really have when it comes to buying milk. There are usually about 2 to 4 choices. Regarding cut and sew dresses, there are probably only a few producers of high, medium, and low priced dressesthat compete with each other, and others dressmakers may have other specialties that limit the competition. I think there are few exceptions to industries/markets being oligopolies. Come up with an industry you think comes closest to not being an oligopoly or monopoly other thanagriculture and the stock market. In other words come up with an industry that fits the characteristics of being monopolistic competition or perfect competition. Discuss it in accordance to oligopoly and shows how perfect competition in which sellers and buyers selling homogenous products
