Do you share geographic territories or have other areas in common, such as contacts or industry relationships? What values are important to you that your partners must share? What is the potential market opportunity if you work together? If your partnership does not work, how will this impact your market opportunity? Will the partnership include a formal contract or be informal? What are the risks on both sides if this fails? Can this partner meet the demands of your agreement and vice versa? Do you each have enough time to fulfill the demands of the partnership? Who will manage the partnership and be an internal champion? What's the risk of relying too heavily on this partnership? Can they scale their business as you grow and vice versa? Will the partnership be exclusive and, if yes, are you prepared to offer this as well as receive it? What are the pros and cons of exclusivity for your company?
