Thinn was an artist with years of experience in Indonesia art and he owned Dahling Art Gallery ("Dahling"). Ben visited the gallery and was interested in the Indonesian paintings on display there. Thinn told him that the works were genuine and valuable and showed him a stamp on the back of the paintings, saying that it was from a Jakarta museum specialising in Indonesian art. Ben then bought seven Indonesia paintings from Dahling for $700,000. But the paintings were later assessed by an art expert to be fakes and the stamp on the paintings was from a military museum in Jakarta. Advise Ben how he may get his money back from Dahling.
