Peter and Debbie go away for a romantic weckend but forgot to tum off the stove before they left. Their house gets set on fire. It burns itself and also burns down the neighbor's house. Will Peter and Debbie be found liable for the neighbor's house? 3. The neighbor's name was Mapgie. She was taking care of her aging grandmother's favorite cat that weckend. The cat got killed in the fire. Will Peter and Debbic be responsible for the death of the cat? 4. Maggie phones her grandmother, Margaret, who lives in another city and tells Margaret the bad news about her favocite eat - peompting Margaret to have a heart attack. Although Margaret ultimatcly recovered, she experienced pain and suffering and incurred a lot of hospital bills. Will Peter and Debbie be held responsible for any of Margaret's oxpenses or pain and saffering? 5. Your clumsy friend Elmer comes over for dinner and decides to go ousside for a smoke afterwards. He heads for the poech but docsa't realize that the glass patio door is closed. You had apparently cleaned it thoroughly with Windexx earlier since you kncw you werc having company over for dinner. Elmer walks right through the window and suffers multiple curs and bruises. Are you responsible in any way? If Elmer drank six bottles of beer and two shots of hand tiquoe before walking through the glass, would it change your opinion? 6. What if it was a burglar injuring hirnself on the window during a break and enter attempt? Is there any liability? 7. Going back to Question 1, let's change the facts. Paul and Janet are only friends and Janet does try to belp after secing Pael accidentally fall in, but completely screws up and Paul is still permanently injured, in fact more than if she didn't try to help. Will Janet be held tesponsible in any way
