This article was very informative and address how technology is changing job descriptions in the workforce. One key point in the article that resonate with me is "as technology continues to advance and as more jobs are automated, job titles will need to evolve to fit new business landscape". This is one aspect that I currently am facing in the workplace. The company have introduced online platform for customers to have immediate access to information which is projected to improve productivity and increase efficiency. We have therefore had to adapt a supportive role in familiarizing and supporting customers with this change so that they can grow with the company and its products. This experience had elevated our customer service roles and also learned new skills such as effective ways of collaborating with customers digitally which with the help with technology give companies a competitive advantage. It's also important to note that human employees are needed to handle direct interactions with customers and employee as technology cannot fully take over these functions but training is required for employees' as job functions evolve.
