This assignment aims to enhance your understanding of IoT applications in real-life scenarios. The assignment is designed to give you the opportunity to suggest ways to fix current problems facing many businesses. You should be able to use the information provided to you over the past few weeks to solve this task. Additional resources should also be used to justify your proposed techniques. These can either be from academic or trusted industry resources.

Carefully read the requirements and evaluation criteria for the task, so that you can be sure to propose effective technical solutions based primarily on the use of IoT for the given scenario.

Scenario (problem identification):

The owner of the restaurant cares about the low level of satisfaction of his customers. Customer feedback shows that the process of reserving tables was difficult, especially with the small number of staff in the restaurant. Customers were also concerned about managing the flow within the restaurant, mainly due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, there were many complaints that orders take a long time to be served to customers due to lack of coordination between the kitchen and the waiters.

Thus, you are hired by a restaurant owner who wants to take advantage of technology to improve the quality of service in the restaurant. The owner also wants to automatically manage reservations and customer flow (entry/exit), according to the number of available tables. In addition, he hopes that you can help improve the coordination between the kitchen and the waiters. Finally, he would like to automate the process of managing attendance and controlling access to the managers room by allowing only those with permission to access the room.
