This business is a retail business and the organisational process that will be used to answer the following questions is 'eCom' process. This process is employed whenever customer online orders is concerned and describes the steps required to ensure a successful online transaction.
Here is information about the eCom process.
First, the customer places a digital order and receives an online receipt that ensures the transaction's success and can be used as proof of purchase when the order arrives. The store then receives the order, sorts it by date, prints it, gathers the trays and trolly, and gathers the items. When everything is gathered, it goes to the packaging area to be packaged. Before packaging, make sure everything is there and nothing is broken; if anything is, a replacement must be provided. After each item is confirmed, the order is packaged using appropriate materials, such as wrapping glass items in protective foil. Next, the process depends on whether the customer chose home delivery or store pickup. If the customer chooses to pick up their order, the team member filling it must place it in the pickup storage area and email the customer. If the customer chooses delivery, the order-taker must fill out a Uniform Distributed Load (UDL) form with the order's weight for the driver. When finished, the order goes to the back for delivery. Once the order is delivered, the customer is notified via email. The customer must present the digital receipt when they arrive at the store or when the delivery person arrives at their home. After verification, the customer receives their order, ending eCom.
